Dr. Cook is a proud native of Shreveport, Louisiana. She embarked on her academic path at Centenary College of Louisiana, graduating with honors in her dual majors of Chemistry and Biology. After college, she attended LSU Health Sciences Center of Shreveport where she completed both medical school and her Family Medicine Residency. During her college years, Dr. Cook’s dedication to patient care was evident as she worked alongside her esteemed mentor, Dr. James Bergeron, in dermatology. This experience instilled in her a particular interest in skin diseases and skin procedures, complementing her expertise in managing chronic conditions. Driven by a genuine desire to provide comprehensive and personalized care, she cherishes the unique connections she forges with each of her patients. Embracing her role as a healthcare professional, Dr. Cook is wholly devoted to serving her community, investing her physical and mental energy to contribute to the greatness of Shreveport. Dr. Cook is married to her high school sweetheart, Reily. Beyond her professional endeavors, she has a variety of interests, including gardening, hiking, playing with her cats, and engaging in regular exercise to maintain a balanced lifestyle.
